ESNA, The Energy Service Network Association, is an association topromote the application of advanced energy management systems, including AMR/AMM and Smart Grid applications, based on Echelon’s Networked Energy Services (NES) advanced metering infrastructure platform. ESNA’s main objective is to offer its members a neutral round table to exchange knowledge and practical experience for a successful rollout and exploitation of Smart Metering and Grid applications. ESNA initiates the standardisation of the interface between the Eneterprise ICT and the Metering infrastructure world ESNA is comprised of utilities, network operators, meter management companies, system integrators, installers and suppliers of enterprise software applications, hardware manufacturers and consultants.


The Universal Powerline Association (UPA) is an International not-for-profit trade association focused on promoting the successful international application of Powerline technologies and providing a forum for the design and development of interoperable and open specifications. The UPA provides all Powerline players the opportunity to respond to key customer expectations with open standards, based on interoperability, security and coexistence and supported by exclusive and independent certifications, the only global guarantee of quality and confidence for high-speed power line technology available today.


OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) is a not-for-profit consortium that drives the development, convergence and adoption of open standards for the global information society. The consortium produces more Web services standards than any other organization along with standards for security, e-business, and standardization efforts in the public sector and for application-specific markets. Founded in 1993, OASIS has more than 5,000 participants representing over 600 organizations and individual members in 100 countries.


The U-SNAP Alliance is an open industry association developing an industry specification for connecting energy aware consumer products with smart meters. The Alliance will create and publish a specification, establish testing and certification procedures for product conformance and educate consumers, utilities and vendors on the benefits of the standard. Alliance membership is comprised of utilities, manufacturers, consultants and other parties interested in developing or deploying the standard.
